Britney Spears' father granted control of affairs: court

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — The father of pop singer Britney Spears was granted indefinite control over her personal and business affairs by a judge in Los Angeles, a court said.

The judge, Reva Goetz, had placed the troubled star under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears on February 1 after she was hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation.

The measure was extended until the end of this year and was prolonged indefinitely by the judge on Tuesday after a new hearing.
