This bound-to-be-copied offshoot of the Music Genome Project uses a series of mysterious algorithms to predict your musical taste and introduce you to new artists. According to the site, the Genome Project breaks down music to its core "melody, harmony, and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony." You simply name your favorite artist and Pandora sets up an online radio station that sounds remarkably tailor-made for you. It's freakin' magic.
