(1946 -- ), was born in Saskatchewan and went to school in Prince George, British Columbia, a northern pulp-mill town curiously full of poets. She studied poetry with Robin Blaser at Simon Fraser University, and spent some years teaching at a community college in North Vancouver.
She published four books in the 1980s, and was hailed as a bright lyric poet. Her voice is sweet and ironic at the same time: a poem is likely to allude to classical literature or recent philosophy, but also to offer the energy of colloquial quips.
