SAN DIEGO, Feb. 9 -- San Diego-based Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) ( NASDAQ = WFII ) , a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks, and security systems, announced today that it has been selected by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority to implement its Tactical Survey(TM) security tool for San Diego International Airport. Tactical Survey is a computer-based technology that was created by WFI and its partner, Tactical Survey Group, Inc. (TSG) of Crestline, Ca.

Together, WFI and TSG provide a tool that assists law enforcement and first responders in responding to or training for a security or safety incident. The tool provides three-dimensional tactical images of a building and its immediate surroundings. The San Diego International Airport project covers approximately 1 million square feet of property, including three passenger terminals, the air traffic control tower and representative aircraft. The Tactical Survey product presents a 360-degree virtual tour of a facility, providing a way for security, law enforcement, firefighting and other life-saving personnel to 'see through' doors and walls and around corners.
